WHY LISTEN TO THIS PODCAST?

Doing the dishes will seem like it's going by much more quickly.

WHY SUBMIT TO THIS PODCAST?

Your submission may become the next episode of the podcast. If it is, you'll be showcased in the following podcast interview installment. If you're a serious writer, that could mean useful exposure. If you've never written anything before, contributing a few pages to something familiar might be an easier way to get your feet wet than trying to bang out a novel in your first go.

HOW DO I SUBMIT?

Check out our Submit page. But in a nutshell, you listen to the most recent episode, write  a few pages, then submit your text via this site. If your submission is chosen, it gets a quick edit and rewrite, is recorded and becomes the next episode of The Storyliner.

HOW DOES THE EDIT AND REWRITE PROCESS WORK?

The Storyliner team does everything. The edit is to ensure consistency of voice and story flow. All you have to do is approve the edit. But because creating this show only allows for limited turnaround times, this edit can't allow for the traditional back-and-forth process between writer and editor. There's only one edit. If you don't like the edit, you can decline to have your submission used and the team will work with another submission.

WHO ARE YOU?

Daniel Janoff had the initial idea for the show. Many other talented folks are helping too. You become a part of the show when you create a submission for the next episode.

DO I GET PAID IF MY SUBMISSION IS SELECTED?

Currently no one involved with this project is getting paid. If The Storyliner ever becomes a money maker, payment may become part of the process. But for now, the opportunity to collaborate and create a great story is the payout.
